Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Technology
Damaka's platform is built upon a true Peer to Peer (P2P) architecture with direct peering.
This is made possible by our innovative and patented "distributed 'Personal Softswitch™' " application component. The "Personal Softswitch™" has the built-in intelligence of a Softswitch, Session Border Controller (SBC), and Media Gateway. As a result, each device in the P2P network can act like a standalone switch that supports call control, call management and call routing functions from the edge. There is a dynamic lookup capability provided in our technology stack that helps identify other peers without the need for a third party server or relay node. Customers can utilize our patented solution to host and manage their own P2P network.
Highly Scalable
Our P2P architecture is highly scalable with very minimal hardware requirements.
Secure
Between clients, both SIP signaling and RTP data are completely P2P. Security is guaranteed because both signaling and media packets are end-to-end encrypted.

Damaka's P2P technology components are SIP based. These components are a total software solution and can easily integrate with an existing VOIP infrastructure and/or 3rd party PSTN termination gateways.
