Sweeping® Technology

Damaka's Sweeping® is the process of seamlessly handing off of an active communication session between two devices, like a laptop or desktop to a mobile device and vice versa.

First company in the world to have successfully demonstrated "Sweeping" across multiple networks and devices
Multiple Session Continuity (MSC) is part of Damaka's Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) solution, where the user is able to seamlessly Sweep® or transfer/handoff any active session between different access devices on one or more IP networks (WiFi, 3G, 4G, etc.). Sweeping® is even supported over Bluetooth and IR connectivity between laptops and mobile devices.

Handoff any live active session
A user can handoff/migrate an active session such as Presence, IM, Audio, Video, and/or Application Sharing between two devices, irrespective of IP networks, without dropping the active session.
i.e. Have a session on one device, login in another and your session is "swept" to the new device!

Greater Flexibility to Participate in Meetings and stay connected
Imagine being late for a meeting because the train to the office is running late. Instead of missing the meeting, one can join the conference on his/her smartphone/tablet and actively participate, including marking up any shared documents. Then when finally getting to the office, he/she can login at their desk PC. The active session is then "swept" across different networks (mobile device on a 3G/4G network to the PC on a corporate LAN), with the session in the same condition on the PC as it was on the mobile device, including any in-process document editing!

Manage Meetings on the Go
When one is in a conference on a laptop/desktop, but needs to be at a different location by the end of the meeting time, he/she can transfer the call onto a mobile device and walk off to their car. The call can then potentially be transferred to any hands-free device in the car, and after the drive, the user can transfer the call back to the mobile device and get to the new location, all while remaining in the meeting, discretely if desired.
