Voice Call Continuity

Damaka's Voice Call Continuity (VCC) is a feature in Damaka's Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) solution. Our VCC technology provides a seamless user experience across different access networks using a single device.

Seamless Switching
With Damaka's VCC technology, a user on a single device like a mobile phone can switch his/her voice session seamlessly back and forth between a circuit switched radio network and packet switched radio network (WiFi, WiMAX, LTE). Continuity of the call session is ensured by maintaining the appropriate state with a central server (e.g. an IMS).

Active Call Routing
Damaka's VCC client on a mobile device can monitor wireless signal strength during a call and proactively switch the call to an available circuit switched radio network if the signal strength deteriorates below a user defined threshold value preset by the user. The reverse is also true, when signal strength reaches desired levels. This reduces costs of calls by maintaining fewer sessions and switching to low cost VoIP calls whenever feasible.
